A growing need of commercial drivers in the area has led to a donation of a 2014 Freightliner from Sapp Bros. to assist the Commercial Driver鈥檚 License (CDL) program at Mid-Plains Community College.

The recent donation will enable students to spend more time behind the wheel learning the necessary skills. Josh Young, 91短视频 Motor School Program Coordinator, said this donation will also allow us to expand the capacity of the program.

鈥淗aving more time to back-up and practice skills on public roads is crucial,鈥� said Young. 鈥淭hrough this generous donation we could look at doubling the class size.鈥�

The partnership with Sapp Bros. is strong as seven students who successfully completed the CDL program are employed within the company.

鈥�91短视频 has a very knowledgeable staff.鈥� said Dan Van Zee the Sapp Bros. Operations Manager for Ogallala, Cheyenne and Denver. 鈥淭hey drill in the importance of a pre-trip and safety.鈥�

鈥淲e hope to have a lot more Sapp Bros. employees come through the program,鈥� stated Van Zee. 鈥淭he hands-on one-on-one experience makes all the difference.鈥�
